Physical Security Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Physical Security Officer to manage airport pass applications for employees, contractors and visitors. The role ensures that all required documentation is processed efficiently and in compliance with security policies, supporting the smooth operation of airport facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist applicants in completing airport pass applications and gathering supporting documentation.
• Verify that all documentation complies with current requirements and statutory obligations.
• Follow correct procedures for all types of airport security and other passes.
• Monitor changes to the pass application process and update internal procedures accordingly.
• Liaise with stakeholders such as police, airport pass offices and applicants, tracking applications and providing status updates.
• Maintain and update databases, files and trackers to ensure data integrity and audit compliance.
• Handle telephone inquiries professionally and route calls appropriately.
• Adhere to information security policies and attend related awareness sessions.
• Perform additional duties as directed by senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data processing and administration.
• Knowledge of online and manual government pass application processes.
• Understanding of airport security requirements, including physical access control.
• Aviation industry experience is preferable.
• Familiarity with administration and management processes within a large organisation.
