Physiotherapy Faculty Position

About the role

The American University in the Emirates seeks a qualified Ph.D. holder to join its faculty as a Physiotherapy instructor for the 2025‑2026 academic year. The role involves delivering undergraduate and graduate courses in both English and Arabic.

Key responsibilities

• Teach physiotherapy courses amounting to 12 credit hours per semester.
• Assess student work, provide academic advising, and mentor students.
• Participate in departmental committees, administrative tasks, and university service activities.
• Contribute to curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain an active research agenda and collaborate with fellow faculty members.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Physiotherapy or a closely related field from an internationally accredited university.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience at an internationally accredited university.
• Minimum two publications in Scopus‑indexed journals and three publications within the last five years.
• Completion of 18 graduate credit hours in the relevant discipline.

Required skills

• Curriculum development and review.
• Ability to integrate web‑based and digital technologies into classroom teaching.
• Excellent proficiency in English and Arabic communication.
• Record of peer‑reviewed research publications.
