Piping Engineer – Oil & Gas

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Piping Engineer to join an oil and gas operating company in the UAE. The role focuses on delivering safe and efficient piping solutions while supporting maintenance and integrity initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure HSE performance and embed safety leadership across all maintenance activities.
• Prioritise and manage risk‑ranked anomalies identified by the Asset & Integrity Department.
• Arrange drafting, material procurement, and fabrication for anomaly and MCDR rectifications.
• Review and verify engineering drawings for code compliance before approval for construction.
• Issue work packs and instructions to offshore teams and coordinate with planning for look‑ahead schedules.
• Participate in KPI meetings and close out anomalies/MCDRs.
• Liaise with technical authorities to determine repair solutions and implement best‑practice methods.
• Monitor contractor progress, address concerns, and supervise site execution to ensure quality.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree; preferably Professional or Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar piping engineering role.
• Strong project management, leadership, and contractor management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proficient in data control, management, and reporting.
