Planning Engineer – Infrastructure

About the role

Parsons is seeking a skilled Planning Engineer to support infrastructure and utility projects in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analysing project schedules, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review contractor baseline and updated programmes, providing consent in line with contract terms.
• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules, including multi‑package interfaces, and validate resource feasibility.
• Analyse progress updates to identify delays, critical events, and recommend mitigation actions.
• Conduct “what‑if” and schedule impact assessments for variations and potential events.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, programme analyses, and presentations against key milestones.
• Support claims and extension‑of‑time assessments using delay analysis methods such as time‑impact and window analysis.
• Coordinate planning issues with contractors and stakeholders, attend progress meetings, and maintain tracking logs.
• Assist in implementing progress measurement systems and issue schedule performance notices when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling for major infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
