Planning Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to lead scheduling activities for large‑scale infrastructure and utility projects in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure that project timelines are realistic, monitored and reported, supporting the delivery of critical milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate contractor baseline and updated programmes against contract requirements and Parsons standards.
• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules, including multi‑package interfaces, and assess resource feasibility.
• Analyse progress updates to identify delays, critical events and propose mitigation actions.
• Conduct “what‑if” and impact assessments for variations and schedule changes.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, programme analyses and presentations for key stakeholders.
• Support claims and extension‑of‑time assessments using time‑impact and window analysis techniques.
• Coordinate planning issues with contractors, attend progress meetings and maintain tracking logs.
• Implement progress measurement systems, monitor KPIs and issue performance notices as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of planning and scheduling experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
