Planning Engineer

About the role

The Planning Engineer will develop, monitor, and control project schedules for utility infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi, ensuring timely delivery through effective planning and coordination with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 in line with contract requirements and project scope.
• Prepare baseline, recovery, and revised schedules as needed.
• Monitor progress, update schedules regularly, and analyse delays to identify critical path activities.
• Conduct Time Impact Analyses and support claims related to time extensions.
• Coordinate with construction, design, procurement, and subcontractor teams to obtain accurate planning inputs.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for client and PMC review.
• Track milestones, resource loading, and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Attend progress meetings and provide planning inputs to the project management team.
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi authority requirements and contractual obligations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of planning experience on utility infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Experience with roads, drainage, sewerage, water networks, and utility corridors.
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authorities such as ADM, DMT, ADDC, or TRANSCO is an advantage.
• Experience working with consultants or PMC teams is preferred.
