Planning Engineer

About the role

Worley Parsons is looking for a Planning Engineer to support project controls for EPC contracts in Abu Dhabi. The role will manage cost, budgeting, progress measurement and ensure safe, on‑time delivery of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Champion the project safety culture and engage stakeholders.
• Identify, evaluate and resolve planning, cost control and financial issues during the EPC contract phase.
• Review, monitor and control project costs, schedules and deliverables.
• Assess the EPC contractor’s Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for compliance with contractual scope.
• Validate measurement weight factors and schedule logic across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
• Verify contractor payment requests, supporting documentation and milestone achievements.
• Provide functional support to the Project Controls Manager, PMC and Owner teams.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in project controls, cost estimating and EPC contract management.
• Ability to work under the direction of the PMC Project Controls Manager.
• Strong analytical skills to review cost reports and schedule data.
