Planning Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Planning Engineer to join our dynamic site team in Dubai. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining and analysing construction schedules, ensuring projects stay on track and meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project and other planning tools.
• Review and analyse procurement and construction programmes for contractors and subcontractors.
• Prepare progress reports, graphs and critical‑path analyses for weekly and monthly reporting.
• Monitor actual progress against the baseline schedule and report deviations to the client.
• Identify project risks and opportunities, proposing mitigation strategies to protect timelines.
• Collaborate with site supervision teams to gather real‑time progress updates.
• Conduct independent site visits to verify contractor performance against the schedule.
• Support evaluation of additional works, variation proposals and claim documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction project planning and scheduling.
• Ability to work closely with project managers, resident engineers and on‑site teams.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
