Planning Engineer

About the role

Parsons is seeking a talented Planning Engineer to support a major community development infrastructure project in Dubai. You will be responsible for creating, monitoring and controlling project schedules, ensuring timely delivery while coordinating with contractors, clients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate contractors' baseline schedules against contract conditions and Parsons recommended practices.
• Develop a master schedule that integrates multiple packages and reflects inter‑dependencies.
• Analyse progress schedules, identify potential delays, and propose mitigation measures.
• Conduct "what‑if" analyses to assess the impact of changes, variations and events.
• Prepare regular progress and monthly reports, including program analysis and recommendations.
• Perform detailed delay analysis (time‑impact and window analysis) for claims such as extensions of time.
• Coordinate with contractors, employers and clients to resolve scheduling issues and finalise program documentation.
• Attend project meetings, provide inputs, and produce concise minutes.
• Maintain trackers, logs and records to monitor critical issues throughout design and construction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of project control, scheduling principles and contract administration.
• Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse professional groups.

Required skills

• Project scheduling and master‑schedule development.
• Delay analysis techniques (time‑impact analysis, window analysis).
• Use of scheduling software and tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) – if mentioned in CV.
