Planning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Planning Engineer to join Worley’s project controls team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on delivering safe, on‑time and cost‑effective project execution for our EPC contracts, supporting the owner and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture and ensure HSSEQ objectives are met.
• Oversee budgeting, cost estimating, progress measurement and forecasting for the EPC contractor.
• Review and validate the contractor’s Work Breakdown Structure, schedule logic and measurement weight factors.
• Monitor and control project costs, schedules, deliverables and productivity.
• Verify payment requests, progress claims and invoices against milestones and supporting documentation.
• Provide functional support to the Project Controls Manager, PMC and owner teams.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of EPC project controls, cost and schedule management.
• Ability to analyse and resolve planning, cost control and financial issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under the direction of senior controls staff.
