Planning Engineer

About the role

The Planning Engineer will develop, maintain and control project schedules for hotel and high‑rise building construction projects in Dubai. You will ensure that all activities are properly sequenced, monitored and delivered within approved timeframes while supporting the team in mitigating any delays.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage master and detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.
• Monitor progress, critical path, milestones and schedule performance.
• Identify delays and risks, and create recovery or mitigation plans.
• Coordinate planning across design, procurement, construction, MEP, façade, fit‑out, commissioning and handover.
• Review subcontractor programmes and track their performance.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, S‑curves, dashboards and forecasts.
• Support delay analysis, EOT submissions and contractual claims.
• Lead the planning team and liaise with project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Proven experience on hotel, high‑rise, commercial or mixed‑use projects.
• UAE/GCC construction experience preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of project controls, critical path analysis, delay analysis and progress measurement.
