Planning Engineer

About the role

The Planning Engineer will lead project planning, scheduling and progress reporting for a large‑scale power and water transmission scheme in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the PMC, the role coordinates with multiple supervision consultants and EPC contractors to ensure the project meets its timeline, budget and quality objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain Primavera P6 schedules, including baselines, updates, recovery plans and what‑if scenarios.
• Implement earned‑value and physical progress measurement systems, producing weekly and monthly look‑ahead schedules, progress narratives and variance analyses.
• Coordinate with cost engineers to load schedules, align with the cost breakdown structure and generate time‑phased cash‑flow forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering or construction discipline.
• Minimum 5 + years of experience in planning and scheduling on EPC projects.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 (EPPM/Professional)
• Power BI for data visualisation
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, charts, what‑if analysis)
• SharePoint for collaborative data management
