Planning Engineer – Road Bridge & Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Planning Engineer to lead the planning and scheduling of road bridge, road and infrastructure projects primarily in Abu Dhabi, with occasional work in Al Ain. The role involves developing detailed construction schedules, monitoring progress and ensuring delivery in line with client and authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 (primary) and MS Project (secondary) covering all phases from mobilization to hand‑over.
• Prepare cost‑loaded and resource‑loaded programs, change logs, KPI reports and EOT analyses.
• Coordinate with site engineers, procurement, subcontractors and other stakeholders to align activities with the baseline schedule and identify major risks.
• Produce look‑ahead programs, progress reports and recovery plans when delays occur.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify progress and update schedules accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority procedures, standards and project planning guidelines.

Required profile

• Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of planning experience on bridge and road projects in the UAE, preferably with Abu Dhabi exposure.
• Strong knowledge of local authority procedures and standards.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage schedule risks.
