About the role
The Planning Manager will oversee inventory and sales planning for the assigned department, ensuring that sales targets, margins, and product availability are met across all stores.
Key responsibilities
- Review stock‑to‑sales ratios and adapt to changing sales trends.
- Achieve planned sales, mark‑ups, and markdowns for the department.
- Manage inventory levels and first‑price sell‑through for each season.
- Assist the Planning Manager in preparing buying budgets and assortment plans.
- Ensure realized margin targets and maintain the required merchandise mix.
- Guarantee continuous availability of core products and launch new categories.
- Conduct inter‑store consolidations to maximise sell‑through.
- Coordinate with retail and buying teams, preparing weekly reports and action plans.
- Flag inventory concerns promptly to the Planning Manager and buying heads.
