Plumber – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

Join the engineering team at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Dubai as a Plumber, providing prompt repair and maintenance services to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen, mechanical room equipment and tools.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment and machines; carry necessary equipment on each shift.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Conduct surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Replace light bulbs, air‑conditioner filters and perform thorough clean‑up after work.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair plumbing (e.g., unclog drains, plunge toilets) and electrical components (lamps, switches, outlets, extension cords).
• Program televisions, perform general housekeeping and inventory duties.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Enter air‑handler schedules and adjust temperature settings using basic computer skills.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation and general building maintenance.
• Ability to follow safety and security policies, report hazards and complete required safety training.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality and commitment to guest service standards.
