Polysomnographic Technologist - Locum

About the role

The Polysomnographic Technologist (Locum) will conduct routine sleep studies for patients diagnosed with sleep or wake disorders at Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai. This position supports the multidisciplinary team in delivering accurate diagnostic data and safe patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform polysomnography tests and record findings for treatment planning.
• Conduct positive airway pressure titration studies and score polysomnographic recordings.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and allied health professionals to ensure safe patient care.
• Monitor quality assurance and maintain competency in data acquisition and scoring.
• Set up, calibrate and maintain sleep monitoring equipment and ancillary devices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Neurophysiology or Physiology from an accredited institution.
• Registration with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists or equivalent.
• Minimum two years post‑registration experience in sleep studies within an acute‑care or tertiary hospital.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite and knowledge of patient safety standards.
