Porter – Materials & Logistics Support

About the role

Al Khaja Recruitment Services is looking for a dependable Porter to ensure the smooth movement of materials, equipment, documents and supplies at an assigned client site in Abu Dhabi. The role involves maintaining organized and safe work areas while providing practical assistance to staff, visitors and site teams. Candidates must be physically capable, punctual and service‑oriented, and comfortable following site procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Move supplies, equipment, furniture, files and other items safely within the premises.
• Load, unload, arrange and store materials according to instructions.
• Support deliveries, internal transfers, room setup and general site requirements.
• Keep work areas, storage locations, corridors and service points orderly and free from obstructions.
• Assist staff and visitors with basic carrying and logistical requests courteously.
• Follow health, safety, security and client‑site procedures at all times.
• Report damaged items, hazards, shortages or maintenance concerns to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Ability to lift, carry, push and move items safely for extended periods.
• Good physical stamina and coordination for walking, standing, bending and routine manual handling.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety, safe lifting and hazard awareness.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, personal cleanliness and a responsible work attitude.
• Careful handling of equipment, documents, supplies and client property.
• Respectful communication and a helpful approach when assisting staff and visitors.
• Ability to work independently and cooperate with supervisors and site teams.
• Flexibility to perform varied support duties according to client requirements.
