Pre-Graduate Engineer - Wet Utilities (UAE National)

About the role

Egis, an international engineering, consulting and construction firm operating in 100 countries, is hiring a full-time Pre-Graduate Engineer for its wet utilities practice in Dubai. The role supports senior engineers on water supply, sewage and drainage network projects, and is open to final-year students who are UAE nationals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the design, planning and execution of wet utilities projects, including water supply, sewage and drainage networks
• Prepare and review technical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD or similar software under professional guidance
• Carry out site visits and inspections to collect field data, document existing conditions and monitor progress
• Perform engineering calculations and analysis for water distribution, wastewater treatment and drainage systems
• Support technical reports, project proposals and engineering documentation
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality and compliance with UAE water regulations and industry best practices

Required profile

• UAE national with Family Book only
• Final-year student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Academic knowledge of wet utilities systems, hydraulics and engineering principles
• Good communication skills in written and spoken English, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and teamwork ability

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software (or willingness to develop it)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
