Precast Quality Control (QC) Engineer

About the role

The Precast QC Engineer will own quality across the full lifecycle of tunnel lining segments, from raw material testing to installation and grouting. You will work closely with mining, precast production, field engineers, and TBM crews in a fast‑paced environment where quality directly impacts tunnelling speed.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality control plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs) and related documentation for precast segment production.
• Perform testing of raw materials, fresh and hardened concrete, and oversee mold setup, casting, curing and demoulding to ensure dimensional tolerances and strength.
• Inspect handling, storage and transport of segments and conduct site QC for installation and annular grouting, including grout mix verification.
• Identify non‑conformances, lead root‑cause analysis and maintain traceability records for each segment.
• Coordinate QC documentation with RTA, Dubai Municipality and third‑party labs, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science or related field, or equivalent hands‑on QC experience.
• 1–10 years of QC experience in precast concrete or heavy civil construction, preferably in the GCC.
• Current ACI Field Testing Technician – Grade 1 or equivalent and PCI Level 1 certification.
• Experience with precast tunnel segments or major Gulf infrastructure projects is a strong plus.
