Primary English Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Primary English Coordinator to lead the English department of our British‑curriculum school in Dubai. Reporting to the Primary Head, you will drive high‑quality teaching and learning, ensuring that all students achieve excellent outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to all Primary English teachers, guiding instructional practice and assessment.
• Develop, implement and evaluate the English curriculum in line with British curriculum standards and DSIB inspection requirements.
• Conduct regular lesson observations, deliver CPD sessions and mentor staff on effective teaching strategies.
• Oversee discipline and code of conduct for students and staff within the department.
• Collaborate with the Primary Head to set departmental targets and monitor progress.
• Facilitate team‑teaching, lesson planning and the use of appropriate resources.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Primary English teacher or coordinator.
• Relevant educational qualifications in English or Education.
• Familiarity with the DSIB Inspection Framework and British curriculum expectations.
• Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
