Primary Homeroom Teacher – Immediate Joiner

About the role

Al Salam School is looking for an experienced Primary Homeroom Teacher to join the team immediately. The role involves delivering the Taaleom curriculum with a focus on excellence, innovation and compassion, while supporting each child's academic, personal and spiritual growth.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver subject knowledge, understanding and skills to primary students, fostering curiosity and critical thinking.
• Inculcate values of truth, justice, equality, human rights, benevolence and compassion through example.
• Engage and motivate learners to exceed their own expectations.
• Integrate ICT and new technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
• Plan lessons that address individual learning needs, styles, preferences and capabilities.
• Encourage students to become confident, independent lifelong learners.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
• Organise enrichment activities and support after‑school programmes.
• Collaborate on fair disciplinary practices and safeguard students from abuse.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents about student progress.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a primary homeroom teacher.
• Deep understanding of diverse learning needs and ability to tailor instruction.
• Strong commitment to the Taaleom ethos of excellence, innovation and compassion.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents and staff.
• Willingness to engage with the wider community and school events.
