Primary Teacher – August 2026

About the role

GEMS World Academy on Al Reem Island is seeking experienced Primary Teachers to join its inclusive, student‑centred community from August 2026. The role involves delivering the International Baccalaureate (IB) and British curriculum to a diverse learner cohort.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality, inclusive lessons that meet IB and British curriculum standards.
• Collaborate with subject specialists to design strategies that support access, progress and achievement for all students.
• Use data to monitor student performance and implement targeted interventions.
• Foster a positive classroom environment aligned with the IB Learner Profile and GEMS Core Values.
• Contribute to school‑wide inclusive practices and promote equity.
• Engage with parents and the wider school community to support holistic student development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or equivalent with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE, state licence, etc.).
• Minimum three years of primary teaching experience, preferably within an IB or British curriculum setting.
• Strong understanding of the IB philosophy and Approaches to Teaching and Learning.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and organisational abilities.
• Availability to start in August 2026.
