Principal Blockchain Development Engineer Java

About the role

Bybit is looking for a Principal Blockchain Development Engineer with deep Java expertise to lead the integration of new blockchain networks and support custody solutions. You will work in a fast‑moving, global team that builds the infrastructure for next‑generation digital finance.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate new blockchain networks to enable deposit and withdrawal operations for exchanges and Web3 platforms.
• Develop and refine custody business requirements.
• Analyse business needs, design systems, develop code, test, and deploy high‑quality solutions.
• Produce technical and system documentation to ensure maintainability and team collaboration.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong grasp of Java fundamentals, clean coding practices, and mainstream open‑source frameworks.
• Proficiency with Git, Maven, Linux, and distributed system design.
• Experience with middleware such as MySQL, Redis, and message queues (e.g., Kafka).
• Highly responsible, logical, curious, and collaborative.
