Principal Electrical Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical discipline on complex EPC and FEED projects in Abu Dhabi. You will act on behalf of the Owner, ensuring that design, procurement and construction activities meet the highest standards of safety, quality and technical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture and engage in safety activities.
• Identify, evaluate and resolve engineering issues during early work and FEED phases.
• Review, approve and comment on contractor deliverables, design documents, vendor data and equipment specifications.
• Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, 3D model reviews, constructability, SIL, EIA, HAZOP and HAZID sessions.
• Ensure contractor compliance with Owner specifications, relevant codes, standards and industry best practices.
• Supervise the quality and accuracy of engineering design, system integration and design selection.
• Coordinate engineering input for alternative design options and business models.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in electrical engineering within EPC/FEED environments.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder interfaces.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle, safety procedures and quality management.
• Excellent communication skills for technical discussions with owners, licensors, contractors and vendors.
