Principal ELV & IBMS Engineer – Data Centres

About the role

The Principal ELV & IBMS Engineer will be the systems integration authority for Ramboll’s growing data‑centre practice in the MENA region. You will lead the design, integration and commissioning of extra‑low‑voltage (ELV) and integrated building management systems (IBMS) for mission‑critical data‑centre projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define end‑to‑end ELV system architecture and IBMS strategy for data‑centre projects.
• Lead detailed design, vendor evaluation, testing procedures and live commissioning validation.
• Coordinate BMS‑electrical interfaces, EPMS integration and power‑monitoring solutions.
• Integrate HVAC sensor networks and control logic with mechanical systems.
• Develop security integration concepts, including SOC workflows and surveillance architecture.
• Provide technical leadership in cross‑discipline meetings and ensure seamless system handover.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a systems architect or technical lead on large‑scale data‑centre projects.
• Hands‑on expertise in ELV system design, IBMS architecture and lifecycle ownership.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships, testing protocols and commissioning activities.
• Strong communication skills for leading cross‑discipline discussions.
