Principal Engineer Power Generation

About the role

RINA is seeking a Principal Engineer Power Generation to lead consultancy projects within its Operations & Maintenance Engineering division in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on condition assessment, performance optimisation and failure investigation of critical rotating machinery in complex industrial environments across the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Technical Coordinator for consultancy projects, planning and supervising technical scope.
• Lead data collection, analysis and report writing to meet quality, time and cost targets.
• Maintain client liaison through meetings, presentations and written communication.
• Collaborate with RINA Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams in the UAE, Italy and the UK.
• Identify and support business‑winning opportunities, delivering technical presentations and promoting RINA’s capabilities.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with extensive experience in rotating machinery for petrochemical, power generation or desalination plants.
• Proven ability to work remotely with minimal supervision while delivering high‑quality technical outcomes.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time to client sites in the Middle East and occasional trips to the UK or Italy.
