Principal Engineer - Roads & Highways

About the role

Robert Bird Group is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the design and technical delivery of roads and highways within a confidential regional infrastructure programme. This senior position offers the chance to shape high‑impact projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across the United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end design process for major road and highway projects.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural and specialist consultants.
• Maintain compliance with client standards, local regulations and best‑practice engineering methods.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in roads/highways design.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and coordinate across disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
