Principal Offshore Structural Engineer

About the role

Technip Energies is seeking a Principal Offshore Structural Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, you will act as the technical authority for offshore structural projects, ensuring engineering excellence across concept, FEED, EPC, and brownfield phases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary offshore engineering teams, providing technical direction and reviewing deliverables.
• Oversee the analysis and design of jackets, jacket appurtenances, piled foundations, topside modules, integrated decks, bridges, flare towers, helidecks, and living quarters.
• Validate critical engineering calculations and ensure compliance with client standards and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and the development of engineering standards and best practices.
• Engage with major operators such as ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy, and TotalEnergies to align project objectives.

Required profile

• BE/B.Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering; ME/M.Tech preferred.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent accreditation is an advantage.
• 18‑20 years of offshore structural engineering experience in the oil & gas sector.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams through Conceptual, FEED, EPC, EPIC, and brownfield projects.
