Principal Piping Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Principal Piping Engineer to lead mechanical piping design and engineering activities on a major project in Abu Dhabi. The role combines technical expertise with safety leadership to ensure high‑quality deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture and engage the team in safety activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve complex piping engineering issues.
• Review and approve contractor deliverables, including equipment design, system layouts, material specifications, calculations, and vendor data.
• Attend and contribute to technical meetings with owners, licensors, contractors, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with design requirements, licensor PDPs, relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Supervise the review process, coordinate engineering participation in design option analyses, and provide technical guidance for new specifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical/piping engineering on large‑scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of licensor PDPs, codes, and standards.
• Ability to lead technical reviews and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with owners, contractors, and vendors.
