Principal Procurement Contract Specialist

About the role

Worley is seeking a Principal Procurement Contract Specialist to lead contract and procurement activities for major EPC/FEED projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures alignment with the Project Execution Strategy, HSSE objectives and delivers value across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture and ensure compliance with HSSE goals.
• Manage and support contracts, procurement and materials teams to meet project plans.
• Identify, evaluate and resolve contracting issues during EPC/FEED phases.
• Review and comment on contract baselines, requirements, responsibilities and management procedures.
• Conduct kick‑off meetings and instruct contractors on contract administration processes, including accounting, change evaluation, notices and payment certification.
• Monitor insurance requirements, assess potential loss/damage incidents and coordinate related claims.
• Ensure performance and bank guarantees are in place and maintained.
• Balance owner relationships with EPC/FEED contract management, seeking legal advice when required.
• Oversee project records management and evaluate contract changes, variance notices and change orders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing EPC/FEED contracts within the energy, chemicals or resources sector.
• Strong understanding of HSSE standards and ability to lead safety initiatives.
• Demonstrated capability to work with multidisciplinary procurement and materials teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills for contract issue resolution.
• Ability to coordinate with legal advisors and manage insurance and guarantee processes.
