Principal Rust Development Engineer

About the role

Bybit is looking for a Principal Rust Development Engineer to lead the design and implementation of core wallet modules and high‑performance in‑memory systems. The role focuses on building secure, scalable blockchain integrations and improving system stability for a global cryptocurrency platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop core wallet components using Rust, or transition from other backend languages.
• Optimize existing architecture for performance, stability, and security.
• Participate in code reviews to enforce quality and security standards.
• Build efficient in‑memory systems to boost throughput and reduce latency.
• Integrate with multiple blockchain networks for transfers, rollbacks, signing, and broadcasting.
• Implement and strengthen security measures protecting crypto assets.
• Collaborate closely with team members and share technical knowledge to raise overall capability.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of backend development experience with a solid computer‑science foundation.
• Hands‑on experience with Rust or strong proficiency in similar languages (C/C++, Go) and willingness to adopt Rust.
• Familiarity with multi‑threading, concurrent programming, and high‑performance or financial‑grade systems.
