Principal System Architect Pre‑sales

About the role

We are looking for a Principal System Architect (Pre‑sales) to lead the electrical architecture of datacenter solutions for strategic accounts in the UAE. The role combines deep electrical engineering expertise with a customer‑facing pre‑sales mindset, ensuring Schneider Electric’s power systems are specified, designed and positioned for successful deal closure.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end electrical and power‑distribution systems for datacenters, from utility entry and transformer sizing to UPS topologies, distribution, PDU sizing and rack‑level delivery.
• Perform load calculations, battery runtime sizing, voltage‑drop analysis and energy‑modeling to optimise PUE and power factor.
• Integrate monitoring and control interfaces (BMS, SNMP, Modbus) and define grounding, bonding and surge‑protection strategies.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NEC, EN 50600 and Uptime Institute Tier requirements.
• Influence customer and consultant design decisions, embed Schneider Electric standards in RFPs and lead technical workshops.
• Support EPC contractors through design reviews, compliance clarifications and interface resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing electrical infrastructure for large‑scale datacenters or industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of international electrical codes and datacenter power‑redundancy concepts (2N, N+1, dual‑bus).
• Excellent communication skills to interact with key account managers, consultants and customer engineering teams.
• Ability to travel within the region for customer engagements.
