Principal Technology Consultant - Architecture Team

About the role

Dynatrace's Architecture Team was created because enterprise clients need experienced leadership to deploy the Dynatrace platform at extreme scale. As a Principal Technology Consultant you will work with a variety of accounts, leading skilled engineering staff and helping customers navigate complex hybrid environments. The position is remote, with occasional travel to customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, design and guide the implementation of the Dynatrace platform for enterprise customers.
• Help isolate major performance issues and propose solutions for large environments.
• Work with product engineering teams to articulate functional gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Take part in hands-on solutioning, including coding in languages such as C#, Java, SQL, NodeJS, JavaScript, Ansible, Puppet and Terraform.
• Share best practices, lessons learned and guidance with the wider consultancy teams.

Required profile

• Prior work or consulting in large enterprise or corporate environments.
• Prior experience with Dynatrace or managing observability/APM solutions is a major plus.
• Solid understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or GCP), with at least one expertise or certification and a willingness to learn others.
• Solid understanding of network topologies, routing, network security, security protocols, load balancers and capacity planning.
• Solid understanding of container-based solutions such as Docker, Docker Swarm and Kubernetes.
• Preferred: outstanding communication, ability to lead multi-day assessment meetings, and hands-on troubleshooting of performance issues.

Required skills

• Preferred: Puppet, Ansible, ArgoCD, Backstage, TFS, Kubernetes/OpenShift, AWS Lambda, ECS & Fargate.
• Preferred: JavaScript and web frameworks React/Angular, object-oriented programming, SQL, and experience with automated provisioning and testing.

• Compensation for the Architecture Team role starting at 455,000 Dirhams and going up to 640,000 Dirhams depending on experience and suitability.
