Principal Transport Planner / Modeller

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Principal Transport Planner and Modeller to lead complex multimodal transport and mobility projects across Dubai and the wider GCC region. The role combines strategic planning, technical modelling, and stakeholder engagement to deliver sustainable and smart mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and delivery of multimodal transport and mobility projects.
• Manage project teams, timelines and budgets through all planning stages.
• Develop, calibrate and review transport models, mobility strategies, master‑plans and impact assessments.
• Provide technical input on transport policy, active mobility, transit‑oriented development and smart‑city initiatives.
• Engage with government authorities, clients and key stakeholders to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development activities.
• Prepare and present high‑quality reports, proposals and presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience delivering complex transport and mobility projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and contribute to strategic urban mobility initiatives.
• Experience working in Western countries is desirable.
• Previous experience in the GCC is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with transport modelling tools such as VISUM, VISSIM, Aimsun or Cube.
