Principal Transportation Planner

About the role

Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Principal Transportation Planner to lead transportation studies and authority approvals for projects in Abu Dhabi. You will own end‑to‑end technical outputs, collaborate across disciplines, and ensure successful delivery of complex transportation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare transportation master plans and traffic impact studies for small to large developments, including data collection, analysis and mitigation measures.
• Conduct urban and metropolitan transportation planning and traffic engineering tasks such as corridor studies and regional network analyses.
• Perform operational analysis using tools like SYNCHRO, SIDRA, HCS and VISSIM, and work with travel demand models.
• Collaborate with road design and urban planning teams to integrate transportation solutions.
• Lead the preparation and submission of Abu Dhabi authority approvals, managing end‑to‑end technical outputs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of hands‑on experience in transportation planning, including transportation impact studies and master planning.
• Proven experience delivering projects that obtain Abu Dhabi authority/ITC approvals.
