Proactive Sales Executive – Corporate

About the role

The Proactive Sales Executive – Corporate will act as the primary point of contact for corporate guests and internal departments, using proven sales techniques to maximise revenue while maintaining strong guest loyalty to Marriott.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve guest calls, requests, and problems by liaising with the appropriate department (sales, accounting, data administration, etc.).
• Apply sales techniques to upsell services and maximise revenue, while offering complimentary gifts such as reward points, tickets or certificates.
• Process Marriott Rewards redemptions, reservations, changes and cancellations received via phone, fax or mail, and accurately enter reward information into the system.
• Perform general office duties supporting Sales & Marketing, including filing, emailing, typing and faxing.
• Assist management in training and motivating staff, serve as a role model, and monitor performance to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and uphold company policies.
• Provide courteous guest service, answer phones with proper etiquette, and develop positive working relationships.
• Handle light physical tasks (lifting up to 10 lb) and any other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 24 months of relevant sales or hospitality experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
