Procurement Assistant (Freelance)

About the role

The Procurement Assistant will support Legends Global’s event operations by sourcing and purchasing food, beverages, packaging, consumables and operational supplies. This freelance position is based in Dubai and requires the candidate to hold their own visa/sponsorship. The role focuses on maintaining quality, availability, compliance and cost efficiency across all procurements.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure F&B items, packaging and consumables from local and international suppliers.
• Obtain competitive quotations, negotiate pricing, contracts, rebates and commercial terms.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships, conducting regular performance reviews.
• Monitor market trends, seasonal pricing and product availability to mitigate supply‑chain risks.
• Collaborate with F&B Operations, Finance, Kitchen and Stores to forecast needs and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and support food‑cost analysis, purchase‑price variance reviews and budget control.
• Ensure all procured products meet quality, food‑safety and brand standards.
• Maintain accurate purchase orders, supplier records, contracts and supporting documentation.
• Prepare procurement reports on spend, cost savings, variances and supplier performance.
• Support internal and external audits and address procurement‑related findings promptly.

Required profile

• Practical F&B procurement and operational experience within Dubai’s hospitality, events, hotel, restaurant or catering sector.
• Strong supplier‑market knowledge and commercial negotiation skills.
• Solid understanding of food costs, inventory controls and operational requirements.
• Ability to work independently on a freelance basis and hold a valid UAE visa/sponsorship.
• UAE National applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
