Procurement Coordinator

About the role

The Procurement Coordinator will support the plant’s procurement department in daily operations, ensuring smooth vendor management, safety compliance and cost‑effective purchasing. The role bridges the gap between internal teams, suppliers and external regulators to maintain efficient supply chains.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and procurement documentation.
• Drive monthly cost‑optimization initiatives and track savings.
• Lead vendor pre‑qualification, obtain at least three quotations and evaluate cost, quality and delivery.
• Create and release Purchase Orders via SAP, coordinate goods receipt and invoice processing.
• Support health & safety culture by conducting safety meetings, reporting near‑misses and ensuring PPE use.
• Prepare risk assessments, permits and LOTOTO before tasks.
• Monitor environmental compliance and report incidents.
• Prepare monthly spend analysis and dashboards using Power BI.
• Coordinate with finance for payment follow‑ups and invoice reconciliation.
• Collaborate with workshop foreman and maintenance manager on planning activities.
