Procurement Engineer – Civil & MEP

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer to lead the sourcing and purchasing of civil, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) materials and equipment for construction and infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role involves managing the full procurement cycle, from identifying material needs to ensuring timely delivery on site.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for civil, mechanical, electrical and plumbing materials and equipment.
• Source and evaluate reliable suppliers, vendors and manufacturers.
• Prepare and issue RFQs based on BOQs, drawings and specifications.
• Compare and assess quotations on price, quality, specifications and delivery schedule.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions.
• Review BOQs, drawings and technical specifications before procurement.
• Coordinate with engineering, QS, project and site teams to confirm material requirements.
• Prepare purchase orders, obtain approvals and follow up on deliveries.
• Monitor supplier performance, material quality, lead times and delivery schedules.
• Maintain supplier databases, quotation records and procurement trackers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in construction, engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil and MEP materials, suppliers and market trends.
• Proven ability to manage the end‑to‑end procurement process and resolve supplier issues.
