About the role
The Procurement Engineer will manage material selection and purchase order processes for projects, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and budgetary constraints. You will evaluate manufacturer brands, coordinate with consultants for approvals, and oversee delivery logistics to guarantee quality and timely supply.
Key responsibilities
- Review engineering drawings, Bill of Quantities and data sheets to select and approve compliant manufacturer brands.
- Analyze supplier quotations to ensure material meets project standards, specifications and budget limits.
- Draft and issue Local Purchase Orders with precise item descriptions, approved brands, quantities, unit rates and delivery terms.
- Secure Material Approval Requests from consultants or clients before finalizing purchase orders.
- Monitor order fulfillment, coordinate logistics and inspect delivered materials for quality assurance.
