Procurement & Logistics Manager

About the role

Our client, a large manufacturing company based in Dubai, is seeking an experienced Procurement & Logistics Manager to lead supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and product quality oversight. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring cost‑effective purchasing and efficient international shipping operations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and related data to determine reasonable pricing.
• Finalize contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
• Meet with vendors to address defective or unacceptable goods and determine corrective actions.
• Monitor contracts to verify vendor performance and recommend necessary changes.
• Maintain records of purchases, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventory levels.
• Negotiate delivery schedules and agreements with suppliers.
• Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
• Conduct vendor interviews and site visits to assess products, services, and pricing.
• Manage international shipping, including knowledge of letters of credit and Incoterms.

Required profile

• Proficiency in English and Hindi; Arabic is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement and logistics.
• Strong reporting and administrative writing abilities.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Experience with international shipping, such as coal procurement and related shipments.
