Procurement Manager – Joinery & Manufacturing

About the role

Alpago Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing of timber, veneers, hardware and other materials for its high‑end joinery and manufacturing projects. You will develop procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships and ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of all required inputs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with manufacturing and project needs.
• Manage the full procurement cycle from supplier selection to purchase orders and delivery.
• Source and procure timber, veneers, laminates, hardware, finishes, accessories and related materials.
• Identify, evaluate and develop relationships with reliable local and international suppliers.
• Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favourable payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with production, project, design and technical teams to review purchase requirements.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery to avoid production delays.
• Monitor market trends, material availability and price fluctuations for cost‑saving opportunities.
• Maintain the approved supplier database and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Guarantee that all procured materials meet technical specifications and quality standards.
• Work with warehouse and production to optimise inventory levels.
• Track procurement budgets, support cost‑control initiatives and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• 8–10 years of procurement experience, preferably in joinery, interior fit‑out, manufacturing or construction.
• Previous experience in a senior procurement or procurement‑manager role.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to negotiate effectively.
