Production Area & Shift Supervisor – Defence Aerospace

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Area and Shift Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day operations in a defence aerospace manufacturing environment in Abu Dhabi. The role involves coordinating personnel, monitoring output, equipment performance and quality while ensuring strict EHS compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and manage daily production‑area activities and shift targets.
• Monitor production output, equipment performance, product quality, defects and downtime.
• Coordinate machine operators, maintenance staff, warehouse personnel, inspectors, sorters and packers.
• Ensure compliance with process parameters and operating procedures.
• Lead equipment changeovers and maintenance scheduling.
• Analyse causes of defects, downtime and productivity deviations and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain high standards of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance.
• Supervise and develop production personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related field, OR a technical diploma with relevant industrial experience.
• Minimum three years of production‑area or shift‑management experience, preferably in serial‑production environments.
• Strong understanding of industrial production equipment and lean manufacturing principles.
• Proven ability to analyse productivity, defects and downtime.
• Experience coordinating equipment maintenance and production changeovers.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Knowledge of 5S, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Lean Manufacturing.
