Production Assembly Lead Engineer

About the role

The Production Assembly Lead Engineer will coordinate and lead daily shop‑floor activities for a designated production line at EDGE Group’s Abu Dhabi facility. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will ensure safe, efficient and on‑time execution of production plans while maintaining high quality and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily shop‑floor operations, managing manpower, materials, tools and equipment to keep the line ready for production.
• Monitor work‑in‑process, output and overall equipment effectiveness, identifying and resolving bottlenecks promptly.
• Maintain compliance with work instructions, quality specifications, PPE and 5S practices.
• Update ERP/SAP/MES systems with accurate production data and ensure traceability.
• Escalate and drive resolution of equipment, material or system issues to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with operators, technicians, engineers and support teams to meet production targets and support continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in production, manufacturing or technical assembly environments.
• Proven ability to coordinate shop‑floor activities and support team execution.
• Strong understanding of HSE, quality and 5S principles.
• Excellent problem‑solving attitude and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Knowledge of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) monitoring.
