Production Testing Engineer

About the role

AirQo is seeking an experienced Production Testing Engineer to join its Assembly, Integration & Testing team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on integration checkout, functional testing and final acceptance of assembled electro‑mechanical units, ensuring compliance with technical, quality and performance standards before delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform integration checkout of assembled units, verifying power, electronics, communications, navigation, sensors and other subsystem interfaces.
• Develop, document and execute functional and final acceptance test procedures, defining test methods and acceptance criteria in collaboration with Engineering and Quality.
• Design, build and maintain test rigs, fixtures and data‑acquisition setups; ensure equipment is calibrated and ready for production use.
• Troubleshoot integration and test‑equipment issues, coordinating repair, maintenance and calibration activities.
• Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Quality and Production teams to resolve testing problems and align testing with quality requirements.
• Provide regular progress updates to the Head of Testing and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production testing of electro‑mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to work in cross‑functional teams and manage test documentation.
