Professional Services Consultant

About the role

The Professional Services Consultant works on‑site with customers to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective technical services throughout the security infrastructure lifecycle. The role involves designing, deploying, testing, optimizing and operating Fortinet solutions while collaborating closely with both the client and Fortinet teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers during the Think and Build phases of projects.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation such as design documents, method of procedures, test plans, configuration templates and scripts.
• Provision, customize and verify Fortinet configurations based on approved designs.
• Test Fortinet solutions and verify system behavior.
• Participate in interoperability and integration testing with devices that interact with Fortinet products.
• Recommend and implement Fortinet best practices.
• Resolve or escalate technical issues promptly.
• Deliver knowledge transfer to client staff.
• Maintain core competency on Fortinet product lines and technologies.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in LAN/WAN and network security products.
• Design and implementation experience with SD‑WAN solutions and FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer families.
• Strong background in complex routing/WAN environments using BGP and OSPF.
• Experience with MPLS networks, especially L3 VPN.
• Implementation of cybersecurity solutions in OT environments (SCADA, HVAC, PLCs, DCS).
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Master’s degree in a technical or management discipline or equivalent experience.
