Program Manager – Advanced Drone Systems

About the role

Lead strategic planning, development and execution of complex unmanned aerial system programs for EDGE’s Advanced Concepts, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives, technical requirements and market needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement long‑term program strategies aligned with market needs.
• Manage engineering projects for advanced drone systems, overseeing integration and testing.
• Conduct feasibility analyses and allocate resources across projects.
• Identify, assess and mitigate program risks.
• Serve as primary liaison among aerodynamics, mechanical, electronics, control systems and software teams.
• Provide technical guidance for loitering‑munition system design and development.
• Coordinate technical aspects of field and flight tests.
• Oversee integration of loitering‑munition subsystems ensuring harmonious operation.
• Formulate and execute strategic technical roadmaps translating objectives into engineering milestones.
• Produce detailed status reports and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years experience in aerospace and defence industry, preferably within agile or hybrid development cycles.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or INCOSE CSEP certification preferred.
• Specific experience with loitering munitions and advanced drone systems.
• Deep understanding of defence system design, development and integration.
