Project Design Electrical Engineer – Fleet Remediation (EMEA)

About the role

Amazon Web Services is looking for a Project Design Electrical Engineer to join the Fleet Remediation Engineering team in the EMEA region. You will lead design projects that remediate issues, upgrade infrastructure, and add new services to operational data centers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end electrical design projects for data center remediation and capacity upgrades.
• Provide lifecycle support from concept through implementation, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Own design solutions that improve availability, increase sustainability, and add infrastructure capacity.
• Review equipment submittals and ensure compliance with regional design standards.
• Collaborate with internal and external engineering, hardware, safety, field, and controls teams.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects across different geographic locations.
• Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover phases.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with strong data‑driven decision making.
• Familiar with design and construction standards and processes for data centers.
• Experience managing engineering projects in a multi‑regional environment.
• Ability to act as a technical subject‑matter expert and mentor junior engineers.
