Project Director – Infrastructure & Construction

About the role

Surbana Jurong is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of major infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role involves senior leadership across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, quality, safety and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for complex project delivery.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Act as senior point of contact for clients, contractors, consultants, authorities and key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with scope, programme, quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
• Oversee project performance, risk management, resources and delivery strategies.
• Coordinate engineering, construction supervision, project controls, commercial and other technical functions.
• Identify project risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support client engagement and contribute to business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 20+ years of professional experience in project management, engineering, construction or consultancy.
• Proven experience leading Independent Verification (IV) or Independent Supervision Consultancy (ISC) assignments.
• Track record of successfully delivering large, complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of project controls, contract administration, risk and stakeholder management.
• Relevant professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or Chartership are advantageous.
