Project Director - Infrastructure

About the role

WSP is looking for an accomplished Project Director to lead the delivery of major infrastructure and masterplan development projects across the UAE. This senior position sits within the Transport & Infrastructure business and serves as the primary client interface for complex, multidisciplinary projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and design to execution and close‑out.
• Establish delivery strategies, governance frameworks and performance objectives to meet scope, schedule, budget and quality targets.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams including engineering, planning, commercial, project controls and specialist disciplines.
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams, clients, contractors, government authorities and external stakeholders.
• Act as the trusted advisor for major clients, develop and maintain relationships with government entities, developers and infrastructure authorities.
• Represent the business at steering committees, governance boards and executive meetings.
• Take overall accountability for commercial and financial performance of projects.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with leading international engineering consultancies.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale infrastructure and masterplan projects in the UAE.
• Strong technical engineering background, preferably civil engineering.
• Exceptional project leadership, commercial acumen and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Client‑facing orientation with ability to build long‑term relationships.
